If you have a business or work with a group of people and would like to participate of our "February Jean Day", just plan an office day where everyone in your department wears jeans and donates a minimum of $5.00 to our educational organization. This is a great way to sponsor a child through our non-profit organization and really give back to our community. All donations given by check will receive a tax receipt. Join us and make a difference in the life of a child!

November FUNDRAISER!

Dear Friends and Family,

1 Child At A Time will start a holiday Fundraiser from November 1- November 30, 2012 and would like to help children in our community through the Linda Ray Intervention Center. They are in need of New hard cover books. These books are for ages infant to toddlers so the books must be hard cover with hard pages or baby books that are soft, no books with paper pages. Below is a description of this wonderful center in our community.

Linda Ray Intervention Center- Since its beginning in 1993, Center has helped scores of our youngest citizens who have been seriously challenged by issues such as parental substance abuse, the instabilities associated with being in the child welfare system, developmental delays that ultimately have an impact on school readiness, and the lack of access to quality early childhood programs. The LRIC offers specialized intervention programs and provides a “one-stop shopping” environment for this population of children and their families, with a robust research component that is funded by Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ Pre-K Programs for Children with Disabilities, ages newborn through three years old.

Please consider donating a book or giving a donation of $15.00 per book. Your generous support will make a difference in the life of a child! We have several volunteers that will be collecting the books so please contact us via email and we will give you our drop off locations.
